The presenters and developers of this course have discovered dozens of fields in traditional and unconventional resource plays. This course will bring together their research and insights, what AAPG outstanding explorers have to teach us (in their own words), using statistics and analytics to move up the learning curve and predict the future, discovering team creativity through exercises, and timeframe thinking and planning using individual career planning exercises. This fast-paced, information-filled course will benefit all Geoscientists, individually and as team-players, in developing your own creative thinking for resource discovery, value-creation, and career planning and enhancement. Class participates will develop an action plan at the conclusion of the course to apply creativity lessons from the class to their current work assignments and future career and life goals.
Bill Fairhurst is President / Founder of Riverford Exploration, LLC a consulting practice and exploration & producing assets in unconventional resource plays in the Delaware, Williston, and Merge Basins/Plays and conventional plays throughout the United States. Bill is also a manager and a researcher developing 3D Geocellular / reservoir characterization, geo-statistical, and economic outlook models for the Tight Oil Resource Assessment (TORA) Consortium at the Bureau of Economic Geology. This research is focused on unconventional resource plays in the Delaware and Midland Basins including continued research in the Bakken/Three Forks, Marcellus, Barnett, Haynesville-Bossier, Fayetteville and Eagle Ford / Austin Chalk
