Behind the GeoGulf Concept
For more than 68 years, the GCAGS Annual Convention has provided a single destination for education, technology and peer-to-peer networking for geologists in the Gulf Coast. As the region and the scientific industry evolves, it is essential that the organization’s premier event grow and adapt along with it. To continue the goal of being indispensable to the professional education and practice of geoscientists working in the Greater Gulf of Mexico Basin (including offshore and onshore), GCAGS made the strategic decision to evolve the hallmark event.
The new brand, GeoGulf, showcases the foundational elements of the event in a contemporary look to illustrate its overall evolution. It’s fresh, it’s memorable, it’s intuitive. It clearly defines the focus of the event while providing an appealing aesthetic to the event’s target audiences: geologists and interdisciplinary geoscientists specializing in the Gulf Coast, Gulf of Mexico and surrounding basins.
